How to fill UPTET 2022 application form? How many papers are there for it?

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is done to evaluate candidates’ eligibility for teaching posts in Uttar Pradesh schools. The UPTET 2022 exam will be divided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.

a) Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach in grades 1–5.

b) Paper 2 is for candidates who desire to teach in grades 6–8.

c) Candidates who intend to teach in grades 1–8 must take both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

d) Passing Marks: To pass the UPTET 2021-22, candidates must receive 60 percent of the available marks (55 percent for SC/ST).

e) Qualified candidates will receive a UPTET Eligibility Certificate. The eligibility certificate was formerly valid for 5 years, however its validity has recently been extended to indefinitely.

How to fill UPTET 2022 application form?

Candidates have to fill out the UPTET 2022 application form by following the steps outlined below. Submitting the application form only will not enable your selection. Step 1: Complete the UPTET application form.

  • Go to the official website at http://updeled.gov.in/.
  • ‘UPTET’ should be selected.
  • Select the ‘UPTET Registration’ option.
  • Select the ‘Candidate Registration’ option.
  • Read all instructions thoroughly before selecting the declaration box at the bottom of the page.
  • Select the ‘Apply Here’ button.
  • At the bottom of the page, click on the declaration.
  • Verify all information entered in the online form and click the ‘Proceed’ button.
  • Make a note of the registration number generated from the system.

Step 2: Check the status of your UPTET registration.

  • For verification, candidates must enter their registration number and the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their mobile phone/email address. 
  • It should be reminded that only candidates who successfully validate their registration information will be able to complete the remaining areas of the application form.

Step 3: Complete the UPTET application form.

Candidates can now fill out the application form when their registration information has been validated. Once completed, candidates should click the ‘Submit’ button. It should be noted that once the application form has been submitted, candidates will not be able to make any changes to it.

Step 4: Pay the UPTET application fee 

Candidates must first log in to their registered account using their registration number and date of birth in order to pay the application cost. Once logged in, applicants can pay the UPTET application fee online using a credit/debit card. The application cost for candidates in various categories is:

  • General/OBC – Rs. 600/- for each paper
  • SC/ST- Rs. 400/- for each paper
  • Persons with Disability (PwD) – Rs. 100/- for each paper

Step 5: Submit a scanned photo and signature.

As a last stage, candidates must send scanned pictures of their most recent photograph and signature in accordance with the standards listed:

  • 10-50kb photo, JPG or JPEG
  • 5-20kb signature, JPG or JPEG

Once the photographs have been uploaded, candidates must print a copy of the confirmation page and retain it for future reference.

How many papers are there for UPTET?

The UPTET exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for teachers in grades 1-5 and Paper 2 for teachers in grades 6-8. The exam will be held in two shifts in over 200 locations around Uttar Pradesh.

Each paper is divided into five parts. Every one of the questions is MCQ-based. Furthermore, there are 150 questions in total, each worth one point. There is no negative marking on the UPTET exam.
